Job Description
Our client is looking for a Materials Handler to join their dynamic warehouse team. This role is key to maintaining smooth supply chain operations, ensuring materials are accurately controlled, stored, and transferred to support production processes. As a Materials Handler, you will be responsible for picking, packing, receiving, and shipping materials using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, while coordinating physical inventories and managing stock levels. If you have experience handling materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment and are comfortable operating powered equipment, this position is a great fit for you.
In this role, you will be responsible for controlling inventory, verifying stock reports, and ensuring materials are readily available for production. You will work closely with different departments to resolve shortages, prepare freight for shipment, and maintain stock accuracy. Your hands-on experience with material handling equipment and good communication skills will be essential to succeed.
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- Experience with loading and unloading trucks or other vehicles in a warehouse setting
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers
- Proficiency in maintaining stock counts and coordinating shortages and inventory accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physical role
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with other team members and departments
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, typical daytime hours
