Job Description
Our client is looking to strengthen their logistics and shipping operations in a fast-paced environment focused on operational excellence. In this role, you will own the end-to-end shipping process for incoming and outgoing materials—ensuring shipments are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time. You’ll coordinate with internal teams and external shipping services while keeping detailed shipping records and driving efficiency through better daily workflows. What you’ll be responsible for:
- Coordinating the movement of incoming and outgoing materials to ensure accurate, timely shipments
- Preparing shipping documentation including bills of lading, invoices, labeling, packaging, and required shipment paperwork
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, including safe handling of hazardous materials
- Working closely with external shipping services to coordinate deliveries and streamline turnaround times
- Maintaining and organizing shipping records and shipment documentation for traceability
- Using tools such as Excel, Outlook, and QuickBooks to support daily shipping workflows
- Evaluating daily schedules, adjusting workflows as needed, and generating reporting data to improve shipping efficiency
- Coordinating with other departments to support a smooth material flow from start to finish
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant shipping, logistics, or transportation coordination experience
- Proficiency with Excel for tracking, reporting, and shipping documentation support
- Proficiency with Outlook for routine coordination and communication
- Experience using QuickBooks to support shipping/finance-related documentation workflows
- Experience handling hazardous materials safely and in compliance with relevant requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate shipment processing
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience with shipping functions such as shipping coordination, handling shipments, and managing shipment flow
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
