Join Our Team as a Shipper - 1st Shift
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipper to join our client's team in Windham, NH. As a key member of the logistics team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless international and domestic shipping procedures, preparing import/export documents, and adhering to laws and regulations.
About the Role:
As a Shipper - 1st Shift, you will be responsible for preparing shipments for international and domestic destinations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate records. Your expertise in shipping procedures, packaging, and documentation will be essential in meeting the client's urgent need for a reliable and experienced Shipper.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of international and domestic shipping experience
- Proficiency in using FedEx, UPS, and DHL for international shipments, including knowledge of waybills, IATA regulations, certificate of origin, and customs paperwork
- Experience with packaging electronics
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff System and ECCN codes
- Licensing requirements, paperwork, and laws/regulations for import/export compliance
- Experience in developing and conducting training on I/E compliance and attending training for certification
Nice to Have:
- Additional experience with other shipping carriers or logistics providers
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS)
- Experience with customs clearance and brokerage services
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary licenses and certifications
