Job Description
Our client is looking for a night Shift Supervisor at a local Newport, NH, manufacturing facility. This leadership role involves overseeing the day-to-day activities of production workers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, as well as performing mechanical, maintenance, and repair duties. You'll be responsible for ensuring Safety, Quality, and Productivity while also fostering a positive work environment.
As a Shift Supervisor, you'll be the backbone of the production team, responsible for:
• Overseeing the day-to-day activities of production workers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ensuring Safety, Quality, and Productivity by following work instructions, standard work, and documentation
• Communicating effectively with leaders and employees to keep production lines running smoothly
• Providing assistance and coaching to leads as needed
• Monitoring techniques to increase productivity, including working as a team and reporting safety issues
• Enforcing company policies, such as proper attire, workstation behavior, and safety
• Reporting violations and working with management on performance management
To excel in this role, you'll need:
• Manufacturing experience
• Supervisory experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude, with prior machine operating and maintenance experience a plus
