Job Description
Our client, an innovative manufacturing facility, is seeking a Senior Buyer to join their team. The Senior Buyer will be taking responsibility for Procurement and Sourcing activities for the facility.
- Supply Chain Management - Procurement and Sourcing ?
- Work closely with teams in Manufacturing & Engineering, to support material needs.
- Purchasing production related products and tools by creating purchase orders via MRP, ensuring supplier deliveries are expedited.
- Inventory management - (e.g. Kanban. Min-Max, Re-order Point, etc.)
- Support the organization by assisting with the sourcing of MRO materials and supplies.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or technical discipline
- APICS/ISM Certification a plus
- 5-7 years of experience as a Buyer or Commodity Specialist required
- Familiarity with Commodity sourcing strategies
- Ability to understand and manage cost analysis and drive cost savings with suppliers
- Regulated industry experience preferred, medical industry a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel
- Experience with new product development/introduction
- Experience with Sourcing/quoting (RFQ)/supply agreements
- Experience with PO and Supplier management
- Purchasing in a Production Manufacturing organization
