Job Description
Our client is looking for an SMT Operator. They are a well-established manufacturer specializing in power supply solutions, including DC DC converters and AC DC power supplies, known for their modified standard and customized options. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and operating surface-mount technology (SMT) equipment such as Pick & Place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens. You will also perform visual inspections, identify electronic components, and handle minor equipment maintenance to ensure smooth production processes. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory through cycle counts, inspecting units prior to oven processing, and placing SMD components by hand when needed. You’ll identify and route non-conforming parts, perform minor equipment maintenance, and work closely with your supervisor to ensure quality standards are met. You will be part of a team that values quality, efficiency, and precision, all while working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- Prior experience (1-3 years) operating SMT equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Capable of standing for 6-8 hours per shift and lifting up to 25 lbs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- High School diploma or equivalent
