Job Description
Seeking a detail-oriented Leak Testing Technician to join the quality control team at Boyd. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough leak tests on our products to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform leak tests on various metal fabricated products using specialized equipment and techniques
- Set up and calibrate leak testing equipment according to product specifications
- Interpret test results and document findings accurately
- Identify and report product defects or deviations from quality standards
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
- Maintain testing equipment and work area in clean and organized condition
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in quality control or leak testing, preferably in metal fabrication industry
- Familiarity with leak testing methods such as pressure decay, vacuum decay, and helium mass spectrometry
- Basic understanding of metal fabrication processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data entry
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Manual dexterity to handle small parts and operate testing equipment
- Manufacturing floor setting with exposure to noise, heat, and machinery
- May require wearing protective equipment such as safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed boots
