Job Description
Our client is looking for a Quality Manager in the aerospace, defense, and precision manufacturing industry. This full-time, direct-hire position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and improve a company's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and OEM standards. As the Quality Manager, you will oversee all aspects of QMS certification, conduct internal and external audits, manage corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise in aerospace quality systems, regulatory knowledge, and leadership skills will support quality assurance activities and foster a culture of excellence in a hybrid work environment at our White River Junction, VT headquarters.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of Quality Technicians and Engineers, supporting calibration, document control, and quality training. You'll serve as a key liaison to operations and customers, communicating quality trends and improvement opportunities, while ensuring compliance with export regulations and customer requirements.
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience working within an AS9100 quality system in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environments
- Ability to manage QMS certifications, conduct audits, and lead corrective and preventive actions
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams of quality professionals
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements and U.S. export control regulations; AS9100 Lead Auditor certification preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office and a strong desire to leverage AI for quality improvements
Work Schedule: Day shift (approximately 7:00am - 3:30pm ET), hybrid-eligible position with initial onsite training at White River Junction, VT
