Our Client is a Technology Leader of high-performance optoelectronic solutions to some of the Best OEM’s in the world. Due to tremendous growth they are now looking for a Process Test Technician!
The Process Test Technician will be primarily responsible for running the vacuum pumps within the Gap work cell. This process is key to the fabrication and performance of the Product Line. Gaps are gas filled tubes used as a high energy electrical switch.

Job Description
Our Client is a Technology Leader of high-performance optoelectronic solutions to some of the Best OEM’s in the world. Due to tremendous growth they are now looking for a Process Test Technician!
The Process Test Technician will be primarily responsible for running the vacuum pumps within the Gap work cell. This process is key to the fabrication and performance of the Product Line. Gaps are gas filled tubes used as a high energy electrical switch.
Responsibilities:
- Perform processes such as running exhaust pumps, gas backfilling to desired SBV performance level, High Voltage Testing and running, and understanding leak detection equipment as used in the production of Gap tubes in a fast paced production environment.
- Pinches off Gap tubes with hand and hydraulic pinch-off tool.
- Works independently in a safe and productive manner.
Requirements:
- Ability to perform the exhaust processing and electrical testing of Gap tubes.This will include attachment of tubes to exhaust ports, bake out of product, and backfill of tube with appropriate fill gas.
- Must have the ability to clearly read and interpret all work instructions and be willing and able to suggest changes to improve current practices.
- Ability to make decisions during processing on performance (once trained to basic knowledge).
- Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing. Works and relates well to others.
