Our client is a group of talented engineers seeking a Mechanical Inspector. Working in a an R&D environment, servicing medical, aerospace/defense, energy, process, and manufacturing industries with prototype design, fabrication and testing. If you enjoy charting your own course yet working as part of a high-performing team, there is no better place.
As a Mechanical Inspector you will provide first-article inspection of high precision machined hardware for R&D projects. Inspection can range from raw material to completed subassemblies. Duties include inspection and documentation of as-built dimensions for machined hardware (tight tolerances, open set-ups), incoming inspection of parts and materials from outside vendors, and suggestions for process improvement.

Requirements:
- Previous inspection training and experience to complete the identified duties is essential.
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, manual dexterity to handle small parts, attention to detail, and ability to work independently are required.
- Experience with CMM (A Zeiss CMM is being used in this facility)
