Mechanical Inspector - 2nd Shift

The Inspector will perform various duties in support of daily injection molding operations with main emphasis on Quality Inspection and qualification of product.
Your daily responsibilities will be
Injection mold inspectors are responsible for inspecting plastic parts that have been produced using injection molding, a manufacturing process that uses heated plastic to create a mold of a desired shape. Inspectors use a variety of tools and methods to check for defects in the parts, such as:
- Visual inspection: Inspectors will look for any visible defects in the parts, such as cracks, chips, discoloration, or uneven surfaces.
- Dimensional inspection: Inspectors will use measuring tools to ensure that the parts meet the specified dimensions.
- Functional testing: Inspectors may test the parts to make sure that they operate properly.
- Destructive testing: Inspectors may randomly destroy a sample of parts to test the quality of the material and the overall integrity of the part.
Candidates should have 1-2 years experience in an injection mold manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and procedures The ability to read blueprints, and an understanding of tolerance specifications and relation to SPC.
