Our client specializes in custom plastic moldings primarily for the automotive industry.
The Inspector will perform various duties in support of daily injection molding operations with main emphasis on Quality Inspection and qualification of product.
Your daily responsibilities will be
Injection mold inspectors are responsible for inspecting plastic parts that have been produced using injection molding, a manufacturing process that uses heated plastic to create a mold of a desired shape. Inspectors use a variety of tools and methods to check for defects in the parts, such as:
Candidates should have 1-2 years experience in an injection mold manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and procedures The ability to read blueprints, and an understanding of tolerance specifications and relation to SPC. Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree required. IND2

- Functional testing: Inspectors may test the parts to make sure that they operate properly.
- Destructive testing: Inspectors may randomly destroy a sample of parts to test the quality of the material and the overall integrity of the part.
