- Responsible for visually and tactically inspecting and verifying a wide variety of mechanical, machined parts to the appropriate specifications using micrometers, calipers, and CMM
- With limited supervision, perform inspection operations referring to copies of schematics, specifications, assembly prints and mechanical drawings
- Visually and mechanically verify these parts and subassemblies to ensure conformance to the latest revision of the design specifications, drawings, and industry quality standards
- Work with engineering groups (design, supplier quality, and manufacturing) to develop measuring equipment standards and techniques for new or unusual precision mechanical parts and assemblies
- Proficient use of various inspection equipment (CMM, surface plate, calipers, verniers, height gauges, etc.) to verify conformance of parts
- Report serious quality issues to the department lead and assist in working towards that appropriate corrective action recommendation
- Use of computer to enter inspection data and transact parts into the Glovia ERP system
- Perform inspection supplier rework parts to ensure rework was performed correctly and that the part conforms to specifications
