Job Description
Our client designs and manufacturers unique products that are used in many industries around the world such as Medical Devices, Aerospace and Defense, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Energy, and more.
They are looking for a Mechanical Designer to join their talented team of Engineers to design and create documentation using CAD and SolidWorks.
Seeking a candidate with a strong mechanical apptitude to create electro-mechanical and mechanical drawings. Must have an understanding of GD&T and demonstrated mechanical inspection skills.
In this role you will collaborate with other company teams such as Purchasing and Manufacturing to source vendors and develop BOM's using our ERP system.
You will design test and assemble fixtures according to requirements.
Required Education and Experience
Degree in Computer Aided-Design, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
8+ Associates years of experience with industrial product design and detailing.
Certification in SolidWorks preferred
Certification in GD&T preferred
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements preferred
Strong computer skills (SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, ERP, etc.).
