Job Description
Our client, an innovative manufacturing facility working on cutting edge medical devices, is seeking a versatile Material Handler on 1st shift. Applicants must be self-sufficient in stocking, organizing, and distributing stockroom materials.
Responsibilities:
- Moving, loading, unloading and driving a box truck
- Receive and verify shipping materials to invoices
- Kit and verify production materials to shop orders
- Organize, label, count, inspect and perform clerical duties for stockroom
- Communicate any actual or potential discrepancies
- 5S and continuous improvement activities as part of a cross-functional team
- Experience and familiar with driving box trucks; must be able to provide proof of insurance and must have your DMV record checked
- Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in a warehouse environment, preferably manufacturing
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to proficiently learn, understand, and troubleshoot inventory management software/ERP system
- Ability to learn and utilize various technologies for inventory control and material handling
- Willingness to undertake various tasks and adapt to unexpected situations within a dynamic company environment
