Job Description
Our client is one of the fastest growing medical device companies based right here in the Boston area. Due to this growth, they are looking for a Material Coordinator to join their team.
You will be responsible for coordinating and executing material flows, and allocation to ensure material availability, inventory integrity and transaction completion, while following the company’s SOPs (Standard Operation Procedure) and quality protocols. This is a self-contributor role. What you will do:

You will be responsible for coordinating and executing material flows, and allocation to ensure material availability, inventory integrity and transaction completion, while following the company’s SOPs (Standard Operation Procedure) and quality protocols. This is a self-contributor role. What you will do:

- Transact and record material flow in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) timely and accurately
- Implement material allocation as outlined by MRP (Material Requirement Planning)
- Monitor, escalate and resolve material issues to ensure material availability for in-house production and 3rd-party CMs (contractor manufacturing)
- Monitor and track material inventory levels among in-house, 3PL and vendor-site warehouses
- Schedule and perform material logistics, both IB (inbound) and OB (outbound)
- Assist key internal stake holders by providing insights and reports regarding material availability, whereabout, status and traceability
- Participate in weekly calls with 3rd-party CMs to monitor material flow and production status
- Execute inventory cycle counts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain high inventory accuracy
- Process inventory adjustments and corrections as appropriate
- Coordinate material changeovers (new revisions) as needed
- Perform other related duties as directed by management

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and set up and execute priorities
- Time conscious and deadline focused
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Good mathematics and computer skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong teamwork and result oriented spirit
- Knowledge in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), specifically Inventory Management, highly desirable
- Previous shipping experience (trucking and freight) highly desirable
- Previous manufacturing/warehousing experience a plus
- Cleanroom experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or High school diploma+ with cumulative relevant working experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience
