Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Material Handler who will be primarily responsible for receiving goods for their manufacturing facility. This role is temporary, 14-16 weeks approximately.
About the Role:
Are you detail-oriented and experienced in warehouse operations? We are looking for a Material Receiver to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling incoming shipments, verifying inventory, and ensuring materials are properly stored and distributed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive deliveries and unpack incoming shipments with care and efficiency.
- Verify received items by inspecting conditions, cross-checking purchase orders, and documenting discrepancies.
- Issue materials for work orders, including raw materials, cables, piece parts, and connectors.
- Transfer items by routing or delivering them to the appropriate departments.
- Load and unload products safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by updating stock levels and tracking issued parts.
- Ensure quality control by storing materials in designated locations and containers.
- Enhance productivity and cost efficiency by accurately tracking job time using barcoding or other tools.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
- Team player with a proactive approach to tasks.
