Job Description


Our client, an innovative manufacturing facility working on cutting edge medical devices, is seeking a Manufacturing Team Lead on 1st shift.

As a Manufacturing Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring production processes run efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for overseeing the assembly, testing, and documentation of mechanical and electrical assemblies, as well as monitoring workers and the efficiency of the line. As a Manufacturing Team Lead, your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in monitoring workers on site during production activities to ensure adherence to ethics and safety procedures
  • Supporting the evaluation of manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality
  • Escalating engineering or quality assistance if machinery or product issues arise
  • Helping ensure that products and goods manufactured meet industry quality standards
  • Leading workers to enhance production quantity while maintaining high production standards
  • Checking finished products to verify quality and compliance with industry standards before they are declared ready for use
  • Maintaining records of line performance
  • Acting as a liaison between workers and management to facilitate effective communication
  • Supporting the adherence to and contributing to the production schedule for timely project execution
  • Ensuring the availability of work materials as needed
  • Maintaining a neat, orderly, and clean work area to ensure efficiency and safety
  • Participating in safety programs, meetings, and trainings as required, and reporting safety concerns to management
  • Contributing to continuous improvement activities as part of a cross-functional team
  • Maintaining Durable Room integrity by wearing proper attire and adhering to Durables Room environment practices and procedures, as applicable
  • Adhering to general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies and procedures, ISO, QSR, and FDA regulations

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with assembly, testing, and documentation of mechanical and electrical devices
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate effectively to team members from various backgrounds
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and support team members
  • Willingness to undertake various tasks and adapt to unexpected situations within a dynamic company environment
  • Medical device manufacturing experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of medical device regulatory procedures, lean manufacturing, and manufacturing processes preferred
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Willingness to attend leadership training and any other trainings as determined by management

The schedule for this role is:
  • Monday - Thursday: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (with alternating Fridays off)
