Job Description
Overview:
The Maintenance Mechanic Performs a variety of preventative maintenance and repair activities to support production operations and ensure the plant and equipment are maintained according to maintenance guidelines and safe operating procedures. Hours: B-Shift – 4:30pm - 3am Mon – Thurs
Responsibilities:
- Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on production machinery according to company guidelines and equipment specifications
- Diagnoses electrical, mechanical, conveyors, plumbing and similar problems, and applies appropriate corrective action.
- Adjusts plant equipment ensuring the proper performance and safe operating conditions.
- Performs various “in shop” repairs to include welding, milling, machining and other related activities.
- Reads and interprets schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance.
- Participates in company and departmental training on policies, procedures and work methods.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
- Must possess general mechanical, preventative maintenance, electrical, and troubleshooting experience
