Job Description
This Company has pioneered air and space crew protective equipment design, development and manufacture since 1941, with products ranging from anti-G suits to space suits.
Our client is looking for a Manufacturing Mechanical Inspector. Since 1941, this innovative company has been a leader in designing, developing, and manufacturing air and space crew protective equipment, including anti-G suits and space suits. They continue to support leading aerospace programs and are now expanding into passenger and crew protection for the commercial space flight market.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that mechanical components, assemblies, and finished products meet strict quality standards, engineering drawings, and regulatory requirements. You will perform detailed inspections, verify material certifications, and collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve quality at the source.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- Experience in machine shop and manufacturing environments, with a focus on precision inspection
- Familiarity with inspection tools such as height gages, calipers, micrometers, and shadowgraphs
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards is a plus
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to perform in-process and final inspections for dimensional and physical accuracy
- On-the-job experience or technical courses in manufacturing, blueprint reading, or quality systems
- Must be a US citizen, pass a drug and background check (THC permitted), and have the physical ability to lift objects up to 20 pounds
