In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to components used in cutting-edge military and aerospace applications. You'll develop hands-on skills in mixing, preparing, and spraying polyurethane paints and epoxy coatings, ensuring all work meets MIL-SPEC standards. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring that components are finished to exact specifications, supporting vital land vehicles, aircraft, and space systems that defend and explore our world.
In this role, you will:
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with every other Friday off

Job Description
Our client is looking for a Process Operator III - Paint Technician. This company specializes in high-precision manufacturing for defense, aerospace, and space exploration systems, maintaining a strong reputation for quality and adherence to strict industry standards.
In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to components used in cutting-edge military and aerospace applications. You'll develop hands-on skills in mixing, preparing, and spraying polyurethane paints and epoxy coatings, ensuring all work meets MIL-SPEC standards. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring that components are finished to exact specifications, supporting vital land vehicles, aircraft, and space systems that defend and explore our world.
In this role, you will:
- Apply paint finishes to components using spray equipment, following MIL-SPEC and internal quality standards
- Mix, prepare, and apply polyurethane paints, epoxy coatings, and primers
- Inspect surfaces and finished parts for defects, ensuring adherence to specifications
- Read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, and process sheets
- Maintain paint equipment, spray booths, and mixing areas to ensure safety and operational efficiency
- Record materials used and processes completed in accordance with documentation requirements
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality control procedures

Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or aerospace painting
- Hands-on experience with MIL-SPEC paint systems, including polyurethane paints and epoxy coatings
- Ability to operate spray guns, mixing systems, and other painting tools
- High School diploma or GED
- Autobody spray painting experience is a plus
