Our client in Amesbury is seeking two skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmers to join their fabrication team on 1st Shift. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs for Amada turret punch presses and laser cutting machines. CNC Programmers - 1st Shift

Job Summary:
Our client in Amesbury is seeking two skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmers to join their fabrication team on 1st Shift. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs for Amada turret punch presses and laser cutting machines. If you have a strong understanding of sheet metal design, fabrication processes, and CNC programming, and a passion for quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Create and optimize CNC programs for Amada punch and laser machines using CAM software (e.g., Amada AP100, Dr. ABE, or similar)
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to develop accurate part programs
- Nest parts efficiently to minimize material waste and maximize machine productivity
- Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production team to ensure programming meets quality and production requirements
- Maintain and update the programming database and tooling libraries
- Troubleshoot programming issues and recommend solutions to improve cut quality and machine performance
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in CNC programming or manufacturing technology preferred
- 2+ years of experience programming Amada punch and/or laser machines
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
- Experience with Amada CAM software (e.g., AP100, Dr. ABE, or similar nesting and programming software)
