Job Description
Our Client is looking for a skilled IT Support Specialist with experience in Visual ERP and scripting/coding to join their small team supporting two local Massachusetts locations. This will be working with the IT Manager and Technician traveling between sites as needed.
The ideal candidate will provide technical support for their ERP system, develop scripts for automation, and ensure smooth operations of IT services across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Support: Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for users of Visual ERP, assisting with issues related to system functionality and performance.
Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency, leveraging languages such as Python, SQL, or other relevant programming languages.
User Training: Conduct training sessions for employees on how to effectively use Visual ERP and other IT systems.
System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain ERP system performance, ensuring system updates and patches are applied as necessary.
Technical Assistance: Offer technical support for hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for IT processes, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to gather requirements and provide technical solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Data Management: Assist in data entry, migration, and management within the Visual ERP system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Incident Management: Track and manage IT support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up with users.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, with hands-on experience using Visual ERP in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Visual ERP, scripting/coding (e.g., SQL,), and familiar with network systems, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
Customer Service Orientation: A strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and support.
