Job Description
Our client is a family owned and operated company with over 30 years of experience manufacturing custom extrusion products. They are looking for an experienced Extrusion Technician on 1st Shift with flexible hours. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of extrusion machines, first part inspection, troubleshooting and maintaining equipment to ensure it is clean and running properly.
Seeking someone with previous extrusion experience who can set-up and run a plastic extrusion line. The successful candidate must have previous extrusion experience.
The Extrusion Technician will perform extrude thermoplastic materials to form tubes, rods, and profiles according to specifications and to meet output goals
Install dies, mandrels, machine screws and sizing rings using hand tools.
Perform first part inspection as well as in process checks for multiple lines.
Record all data into data collection system.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of extrusion experience with basic understanding of process engineering practices.
-High School Diploma / GED is required
- Understands interrelating functions of the extruder and ancillary equipment such as pullers, cutters, pumps etc.
- Ability to verify quality such as color, width, thickness
