Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - 1st Shift

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a long-term Direct Hire basis. As a member of the manufacturing engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, programming, simulating, and testing automated machinery and processes, as well as constructing equipment and fixtures, and analyzing production processes to assess automation's best use.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, program, simulate, and test automated machinery and processes
  • Construct equipment and fixtures, and analyze production processes to assess automation's best use
  • Perform regular maintenance on automation equipment, troubleshooting, repairs, and calibration
  • Develop and maintain clear and accurate documentation of automation equipment or processes
  • Assist in the procurement and installation of equipment
  • Work closely with production and engineering to communicate and facilitate recommendations and design changes as applicable
  • Design fixtures and tooling; evaluate processes for increased throughput and troubleshoot issues on products and processes
  • Perform special assignments in or outside the department when requested
  • Determine problem resolutions and implement improvements
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and implement cost-saving measures and quality control systems
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment meet capability and capacity requirements
  • Research and develop new processes, new equipment, and introduction of new products (NPI)
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment comply with safety standards

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Must have experience with molding processes( injection molding, overmolding, or compression molding)
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on practical experience supporting and designing automated systems
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on practical experience in a production and/or assembly environment
