Job Description
Our client is looking for a Designer to join their innovative team working in the aerospace and military defense industry. This Designer role is vital for creating detailed technical drawings, designing components, and contributing to the development of land vehicles, aircraft, and space systems used in advanced defense and exploration projects. In this position, you will be responsible for producing precise designs, checking drawings against specifications, participating in team design reviews, and supporting engineering projects from concept to fabrication, all within a fast-paced and technologically driven environment. If you have a background in mechanical design, proficiency with CAD tools, and experience with engineering documentation, this role offers the opportunity to sharpen your skills in a mission-critical industry with recognition for excellence.
Work Schedule:
6:30 am–3:30 pm, Monday–Friday, 9/80 schedule
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience creating detailed designs and technical drawings using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Proven ability to interpret engineering specifications and perform dimensional inspections
- Strong understanding of mechanical alignment, part finishing, and fabrication processes
- Experience supporting design reviews and collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Knowledge of aerospace, military, or defense manufacturing standards and documentation practices
