Job Description
Our client is looking for a Hand Solderer. This role plays a vital part in supporting a company that serves various market sectors, including instrumentation, aerospace, medical, and military industries. You will be responsible for performing soldering operations on PCBAs, handling both SMT and thru-hole components, and ensuring high-quality, IPC Class 2 standards are met with minimal supervision. Your work will directly contribute to the assembly, rework, and troubleshooting of electronic components, supporting the company's reputation for precision and reliability.
In this role, you will be performing soldering of SMT and thru-hole components, supporting PCBA assembly and rework, conducting inspections, maintaining records, assisting team members, and collaborating effectively with different departments. You will need to follow safety and quality procedures diligently and escalate issues as needed to ensure continuous production flow.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2–4 years of hand soldering experience, including SMT and thru-hole components
- Ability to read and interpret PCBA documentation and mechanical drawings
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated soldering skills with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues
- Familiarity with IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards (preferred)
- Experience with hot air soldering and minor BGA rework (preferred)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
