Job Description
Our client is looking for CNC Operator A. This role involves setting up, manually programming (without CAM), and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC milling machines to produce precision components based on engineering drawings and work orders. You will play a key part in ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. In this position, you will interpret blueprints, perform first-piece verification, troubleshoot machining issues, and optimize processes for better cycle times and part quality. You will also provide technical guidance to other operators and support inspection and maintenance activities to keep operations running seamlessly.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of programming CNC milling machines with manual programming (no CAM)
- Extensive experience with Fanuc-controlled vertical CNC milling machines
- Strong skills in machine setup, programming, and operation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and work orders
- Proficient in using standard inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators
- Skilled in troubleshooting machining and programming issues
- Knowledge of tooling selection, speeds and feeds, and workholding methods
- Ability to train and mentor other operators and junior machinists
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Familiarity with systems like Labor tracking, Material issue and return, SPC/AQL processes, and CNC program transfer
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
