Job Description
Our client is looking for a Manufacturing Buyer with Aerospace and Military experience. This dynamic company specializes in engineering products for military communication systems, supporting military personnel worldwide.
As a Manufacturing Buyer, you will be pivotal in sourcing and purchasing critical materials and components vital to the company’s operations, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will manage purchase orders, negotiate prices, and work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues and identify new sourcing opportunities. The ideal candidate has experience in aerospace or military manufacturing, skilled in procurement strategies, supplier negotiations, and supply chain management software.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a Buyer in aerospace, military, or highly regulated manufacturing sectors
- Proven ability to quote, negotiate, and purchase inventory and materials supporting engineering and production needs
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier quality issues, and cost analysis
- Experience managing complex purchase orders, agreements, and supplier performance improvement initiatives
- Ability to work independently, with little supervision, and collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, and sourcing teams
- Knowledge of supply chain management tools and market trend assessment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor relationship skills
