Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Brazer Pipefitter for a client who just built and moved into a new state-of-the-art facility. As a Brazer Pipefitter, you will play a critical role in designing, installing, and maintaining piping systems that ensure the efficient and safe operation of our climate control solutions.
Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for installing and fabricating piping systems, cutting and threading pipes, and brazing joints with precision to prevent leaks and structural weaknesses. You will work closely with our team to ensure all systems are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, and that all work is completed in compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in industrial pipefitting, with a focus on brazing
- Strong understanding of mechanical and general arrangement drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs)
- EPA608 Universal Certification required for handling refrigerants
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with cutting, threading, and fitting pipes
- Knowledge of pipe materials and their properties
- Familiarity with safety protocols and industry regulations
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Post-secondary training in pipefitting or a related field preferred
Other Requirements
- Availability to work 1st shift, Monday-Thursday, 6am-4:30pm, with 3-day weekends
- Ability to pick up overtime on Fridays as needed
Competitive Pay Rate
- $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience
