Job Description
Job Title: Assembler Vacuum Braze/Furnace Operator - 2nd Shift
Join our client's team as an Assembler Vacuum Braze/Furnace Operator on our 2nd shift. This role involves operating large furnaces, loading and unloading metal parts using a hand-driven power lift table, and assembling parts for brazing and heat treating.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate multiple vacuum brazing ovens, including one that can braze parts up to 10 feet long and 3 feet 2 inches wide
- Physically stand and maneuver large metal components, working with precision to meet exacting tolerances
- Assemble parts in fixtures for brazing and heat treating, following blueprints, sketches, and written/verbal instructions
- Perform adjustments, maintenance, and lubrication of machines, ensuring optimal performance
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to our client's 5S program
- Check produced parts carefully during set-up and throughout the assembly process
- Perform repairs and fabrications of simple fixtures, dies, and gauges as needed
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a warm, temperature-controlled environment with minimal direction
- Physical stamina to stand and maneuver large metal components
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and measurement devices
