Seeking a diligent and organized Warehouse Receiver to join our client's manufacturing company's logistics team. The Warehouse Receiver will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and goods within the warehouse. The ideal candidate should have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, components, and finished products accurately and efficiently.
- Verify the accuracy of shipment contents against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Inspect shipments for any damages or discrepancies and promptly report any issues to the appropriate parties.
- Label, tag, and record received items, ensuring proper identification and traceability.
- Properly organize and store received items in designated warehouse locations to optimize space utilization and ease of retrieval.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to resolve any discrepancies between received items and purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry and documentation of received goods.
- Assist in the unloading and loading of trucks using appropriate equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to transport items within the warehouse.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counting activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.
- Collaborate with other warehouse team members to fulfill internal material requests efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure timely material availability.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by providing suggestions to enhance warehouse operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying received items.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, and hand trucks (relevant certifications a plus).
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical ability to lift and carry moderately heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperature conditions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety protocols.
- Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to adapt to changing requirements.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected challenges effectively.
