Job Description
Our client is is a small, growing medical device company looking for someone to join their Engineering Department is an R&D Technician. This requires previous experience working with Engineers to set up test fixtures and troubleshoot.
As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in the creation, modification, and maintenance of mechanical drawings, as well as the design and documentation of processes and procedures. SolidWorks experience is a must-have for this position.
The Engineering Technician should have experience working with electo-mechanical assemblies and sub assemblies working with Enigneering to build test fixtures.
Additionally, looking for a Tech who has previous experience creating mechanical drawings with Solidworks. The Engineering Tech should also have experience with Engineering Change Orders (ECO'S).
Possess mechanical aptitude and experience with common hand tools, power tools, and small machine tools
Conduct mechanical assembly of small parts and tools
Read, understand, and build to mechanical drawings
Demonstrate electrical aptitude, including SMT soldering, cable soldering and assembly, and breadboarding prototypes
Construct electrical fixtures for use in manufacturing, ensuring a clean and professional appearance
Test simple electrical assemblies and fixtures for functionality
Troubleshoot equipment to the subassembly and component level
Perform repair and maintenance of electrical equipment
