Our client is looking to add to their small team of two.  This position would be great for someone passionate about our countries security - border control, customs and airport security, controlling drugs and human trafficking.  

The Product Marketing Manager position is central to the Marketing group’ s core functions of understanding our markets and our customers and positioning and promoting the company and its offerings to the marketplace. The Product Marketing Manager provides the company with competitive and market intelligence and leads marketing initiatives as well as supports Sales and customer engagement.

In this role, this is a snapshot of what you will be contributing:
  • Develop messaging and positioning for products, including product overview presentations, product descriptions, selling guides, web content, campaign assets, etc.
  • Owner for key marketing collateral, including: data sheets, brochures, videos, etc. (working with Marketing Communications to develop)
  • Co-owner of product launch activities (with Product Management)

Marketing Programs
  • Manage and drive marketing programs as needed for product launch, to reach target audience, etc.

Sales and Proposal Support
  • Generate sales training materials and provide training for sales and channel partners.
  • Support customer visits, meetings, and product demonstrations as required.
  • Support proposal activity by reviewing proposals and generating responses. Generate write-ups for standard and custom proposal content.

Industry Analysis and Market Research
  • Gather competitive and market intelligence; generate analyses on market trends and requirements, market opportunities, customer buying behaviors, competitors.
  • Conduct market research on current and potential markets
  • Support industry conferences and trade shows, as required
  • Manage and drive marketing programs as needed for product launch, to reach target audience, etc.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, these are the ideal requirements:
  • Bachelor’ s degree in Marketing or Engineering with significant technical experience required; MS/MBA a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be able to present effectively to management and customers. Must be organized and able to write effectively.
  • 5-7+ years of related product management or product marketing experience
  • Experience in a business selling complex electro-mechanical products or technology products is desired.
  • Experience in the security detection of physical security industries is highly preferred.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
  • Must be able to complete job responsibilities working with different time zone needs such as attending late night/early morning meetings by phone and/or web to meet business needs
  • Travel required: up to 20% domestic and international. Must be able to acquire all necessary travel documents for international travel.
