Associate Sales Development Specialist

Job Summary:          

Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) are responsible for qualifying Marketing generated prospects from a variety of sources, as well as using available resources to find and develop other prospects.  The main goal for the SDR is to increase the sales pipeline Territory Managers, and gather data about  prospects for future marketing.  The successful candidate will have the ability to speak with a wide range of prospects in different markets and industries.

Essential Functions:
  • Identify and qualify opportunities from lead generation activities, inbound product inquiries and outbound calling campaigns into defined target groups
  • Identify and develop key contacts and decision makers
  • Utilize consultative sales approach to evaluate and understand the customer’ s business and needs

Experience / Skill Requirements:
  • Minimum one year of experience in an Inside Sales, Lead Development or Account Management role developing relationships across a wide range of customers/clients via phone and email.
  • Ability to learn quickly, ensure timely and accurate follow-up
  • Excellent phone presence and solid MS Office skills, including Excel
  • Proficiency using the internet to conduct research
  • Ability to work independently towards specific targets with efficient time management.
  • Develop an organized daily routine of reviewing leads, making outbound calls, and responding to customer emails
  • Prior Sales training a plus
  • Energetic, creative, motivated self-starter, goal oriented and a team player
  • Prior experience with Salesforce or other CRM applications is a plus

Education Requirements:
  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent
