This role is vital within the quality team, where you will actively contribute to all aspects of the Quality System and Quality Improvement Plan, aiming to meet or exceed quality targets. Job Description
Our client is looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineering Technician. This role is vital within the quality team, where you will actively contribute to all aspects of the Quality System and Quality Improvement Plan, aiming to meet or exceed quality targets. The company specializes in manufacturing, focusing on high standards in optical and semiconductor products, ensuring quality and continuous improvement.
In this position, you will be responsible for supporting quality processes, conducting inspections, helping with root cause analysis, and driving process improvements. You’ll also assist with customer audits and ensure compliance with quality system requirements.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- Experience with Quality Control and inspection processes in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of optical and semiconductor product standards
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop effective solutions
- Excellent attention to detail and technical skills
- Good communication skills, able to explain complex technical information clearly
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field preferred; or equivalent experience
- Lean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred or 2-3 years of continuous improvement experience
- Knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, APQP, FMEA, SPC, and GD&T
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work in a variety of environmental conditions
