As a Medical Device Testing and Repair Technician, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the proper functioning, safety, and reliability of medical devices used in healthcare settings. You will perform thorough testing, troubleshooting, and repair procedures to identify and resolve issues in medical devices, ensuring that they meet the required quality standards and regulatory compliance.
Identify and diagnose technical issues or malfunctions in medical devices through systematic test and troubleshooting techniques.
Utilize technical documentation, schematics, and service manuals to aid in the diagnosis and repair process.
Record and document test results, observations, and any abnormalities discovered during the testing process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and quality assurance personnel, to address complex technical issues and ensure effective resolution.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in electronics, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing medical devices or similar electronic equipment.
Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, and medical device components.
Computer literate, familiar with MS Windows, Word, Excel, etc.
Must be able to read and understand SOP's and work instructions.
Must be able to setup and use test equipment including: oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other input/output electronic test equipment.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as FDA guidelines, ISO 13485, and IEC 60601 is a plus
Proficiency in using specialized testing equipment, hand tools, and diagnostic software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
