Information Technology Support Technician

Our client in Northern Massachusetts is seeking a Information Technology  Support  Technician  for their 1st Shift.   In this role you will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Hands on support with PC hardware and software 
  • Management of desk top infrastructure (enhancements, updates, system performance and security)
  • Troubleshooting issues
  • Administering help desk ticketing, hardware and software inventory
  • Installation, upgrading and troubleshooting printers, scanners, desktops, hardware, video conferencing and software
  • Providing help desk support and ensuring network services and application availability to end users
  • Installation and maintenance of computer equipment and recommending enhancements as needed
  • Managing and maintaining hardware and software inventory using network based tools
  • Solid understanding of security and best practices to ensure systems and network resources are secure from unauthorized users
  • Conduct on-going software training sessions for end users
  • Implement SAML/G-Suite SSO with software services to improve on-boarding experience 
  • Manage 3rd party software and service providers inclusive of printers, scanners and copiers (hardware and software)
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures
  • Administer software, network and phone system user adds/deletes and changes
  • Occasional after hour support and on call support

  • Requirements:
  • High School required 
  • 3-5  years of tech support environment experience and demonstrable skills such as:
    • PC and Mac workstation hardware and peripheral experience
    • Troubleshooting experience
    • Laptop hardware
    • Windows PC Operating Systems
    • G-Suite (google apps)
    • Common applications (Oracle, Java, Adobe Acrobat, Reader and Flash)
    • Active Directory user and computer account management
    • Network and desk top printer
    • Apple IOS and Android smart phones and tablets
    • Basic TCP/IP networking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills - 2016 Microsoft Office
  • Jira Admin and DEVOPS experience are a plus but not required
