Electronics Assembler

In your role as Electronics Assembler you will help our client  build and test next generation medical, packaging, and robotics electronics. Your dedication to quality will dramatically accelerate how fast our customers can bring their products to market. The ideal candidate will be a talented and diligent worker, naturally curious, highly organized, and driven to succeed. In this position you will work directly with the VP of Engineering and have the chance to play a fundamental role in improving the quality and capacity of our small but growing US production facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Taking pride in the quality and accuracy of your work
  • Electronics soldering and assembly of small electronics modules and cards
  • Programming and labelling of ICs (Integrated Circuits)
  • Operation of various electronics configuration and test equipment
  • Reporting of production metrics and adherence to quality and paperwork procedures
  • Communicating suggestions for process improvement
  • Interacting with companies production staff as well as engineering and sales staff as needed

Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with soldering of electronics components and assemblies
  • IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certificates highly desirable
  • 5+ years of work experience in a production function
  • Experience with mechanical assembly of electronics modules and sub-components
  • Experience working with delicate fine pitch surface mount components
  • Experience with ESD protection
  • Strong attention to detail and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English
  • Strong track record of steady productive employment in a light-duty manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in 5S and ISO 9000 environments a plus
  • Experience with test equipment such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes a plus
  • Ability to read schematics a plus
  • Experience with miniature and ultra-miniature component inspection using microscopes or video cameras a plus
